Selected from the second-largest applicant pool in Lewis & Clark’s history, the undergraduate class of 2007 is one of the College’s biggest and brightest. Here’s a look at the numbers:
Total first-year applications: 3,508 Students in the class of 2007: 493 Transfer students: 78 Percentage of students who applied online: 68% Hail from outside Oregon: 80% National Merit Scholars: 11 Graduated in top quarter of their class: 82% Public school graduates: 74% States represented: 41 Countries represented: 10 Received gift aid from Lewis & Clark: 79% Average amount of Lewis & Clark gift aid: $14,121 Have a Lewis & Clark alum as a relative: 49 Attended a preorientation College Outdoors program: 122 Members of ethnic minorities: 13% World travelers: Over 50% have already spent time overseas; more than 80% of all new students are considering one of our overseas study programs.
