Alumni Weekend 2004 Highlights

With more than 200 alumni milling about campus, Alumni Weekend 2004 was a great success. From September 30 to October 3, alumni from the College of Arts and Sciences reminisced with classmates, mingled with each other’s families, and explored changes on Palatine Hill.

The weekend was planned so alumni could participate in Encounters, the College’s second symposium commemorating the Bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Those who attended symposium events examined the Corps of Discovery’s interactions with native peoples and lands as well as modern-day explorations.

Other highlights included a lively tailgate party before the Homecoming football game, wine receptions for all classes with years ending in 4 or 9 (’59 through ’99), and a reunion of those who went on the 1979 Benelux overseas trip.

Be sure to mark your calendar for Alumni Weekend 2005, which will be held October 14 to 16.
