Going, Going, Gone . . . to Las Vegas

What do jaunts to Las Vegas, Greenwich Village, and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, have in common? How about Mount Hood lift tickets, yoga classes, and private dance lessons?

These items were all up for bid at the 13th annual Public Interest Law Project (PILP) auction at Lewis & Clark Law School.

The February event, “Bridging the Gap,” raised more than $45,000 to fund this year’s PILP summer stipend program. As a result, 11 law students have stipends to work with local, national, and international public interest organizations that don’t traditionally have resources to hire summer clerks.

Beth Berenbach and Abigail Mayers, second-year law students, cochaired the auction.
