1963-64 men's basketball s07

Jim Boutin B.S. '64 (left) and Ron Hergert B.S. '65, J.D. '69 celebrate the 1963-64 men's basketball win over Eastern Oregon in the District 2 playoffs. The Pioneers, coached by Dean Sempert B.S. '49, advanced to the NAIA tournament, where they fell in the first round to Carson Newman (Tennessee), a seeded team. Boutin, who averaged 30.2 points per game his senior year, was drafted by the New York Nicks but opted for graduate school instead.

The 2006-07 men's basketball team finished the season as Northwest Conference cochampions. It's the fifth time the Pioneers have won a title under Head Coach Bob Gaillard. Read more Pioneer sports highlights here.
