Power of the Green

Portland General Electric selected Lewis & Clark College for a Green Power Leadership Award in October. The campus is one of a handful in the nation to offer residential students the option of purchasing green power (at a minimum contribution of $20 per student annually). This year, 365 students—out of a resident population of about 1,200—opted to use the green power purchase plan. Their contributions will allow the College to purchase about 400,000 kWh of wind power.
