Our Programs

We provide future counselors and therapists with innovative programs of study that offer the knowledge and skills critical to the practice of community mental health, addictions treatment, marriage, couple and family therapy, and school psychology. As a student, you'll learn to foster effective helping relationships and to create a wide range of interventions suitable for individuals, families, groups, and communities. In addition to classroom study, we offer the opportunity to pursue specific interests through individualized study, special community placements, and internship opportunities available in over 150 community agencies and schools.

Our programs include:

Our Students

Our programs are designed to meet the needs of students with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of professional goals. Students have the option of pursuing part- or full-time study. Classes are scheduled mostly in the evenings and afternoons to serve working students. Students who attend Lewis & Clark join a supportive community of colleagues who often continue their relationships in their professional lives beyond graduate school.

Our Faculty

Our faculty are experienced practitioners, creative teachers, and talented researchers. Instructors blend the strengths of traditional theories with current best practices in the counseling professions. Students have the opportunity to work in a wide array of practice settings, including schools, mental health clinics, hospitals, family service centers, and community-based programs. Our graduates have a high rate of acceptance to doctoral programs throughout the country.
