We are very pleased to announce that Andraé Brown, Ph.D., will join us this fall as a tenure-track professor in the MCFT program. His numerous publications and presentations cover themes in racism, feminism, white privilege, domestic violence, urban youth empowerment, and supervision, to name a few.

Summer 2007

Dr. Carmen Knudson-Martin, a leading feminist family therapy scholar taught a course in June on gender, culture and power, sharing with L & C students her most recent research.

Hanan HosnyDr. Hanan Hosny from Menoufyia University in Egypt offered a course in July on working with Muslim families. Those interested in attending this course when Dr. Hosny visits us again should contact Teresa McDowell (teresamc@lclark.edu).

Dr. Hosny & Dr. McDowell have arranged for 10 Lewis & Clark graduate students to visit Menoufyia University next spring.

Dr. Brent Atkinson, founder of the Pragmatic Experiential Therapy for Couples(PET-C) and the Couples Research Institute in Chicago, offered a two-day workshop in August to Lewis & Clark students and community professionals.

Those interested in the 5 day intensive training that Dr. Atkinson will be offering at Lewis & Clark this winter should contact the Center for Continuing Studies.
