September 28, 2007

Impacts of Global Warming on Wildlife

Noah Greenwald and Kristina Haddad open the 15th annual Animal Law Conference with a talk on the effects of climate change on animals.


October 1, 2007

Symposium on Ocean Renewable Energy Law & Policy

On the eve of a nationally-important FERC hearing on a proposed ocean energy facility siting off the Oregon coast, Oregon’s Congressional delegation and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commissioner in charge of the hearing spoke about the important legal and environmental issues involved. Co-sponsored by Finavera Renewables, Tonkon Torp and Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal.

Summer, 2008

Lewis & Clark's Summer Environmental Law Program offers a two-credit course on Climate Change and the Law. Attorneys and law students from ABA-accredited law schools are welcome to register for this course.


Ongoing activities

Lewis & Clark's outstanding on-campus environmental law clinics, the Pacific Environmental Advocacy Center and International Environmental Law Project, teach students how to tackle climate change through legal action.
