School of Law Distinguished Grad Anne Squier
 



Anne Squier '83 has spent the last thirty years promoting conservation efforts. A founding member of the Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition, she chaired the first Water Policy Review Board; served as a member of the Land Conservation and Development Commission and the Environmental Quality Commission. As Assistant Attorney General for Oregon, she was general counsel for a variety of natural resources agencies. She taught water law at Lewis & Clark Law School from 1985 to 1992, leaving to become senior policy advisor for natural resources for former Oregon Governor Barbara Roberts. She was a member of the Energy Facility Siting Task Force and policy coordinator for the National Marine Fisheries Service in Portland. She currently serves as chair of the Columbia River Gorge Commission.
