Environmental Moot Courts
Environmental moot court excellence has become a tradition at the Law School. Each year, L&C fields a team in the Pace National Environmental Moot Court Competition, after vigorous rivalry within the law school. The competition, which hones skills in appellate brief writing and oral advocacy, involves three points of view—the regulated industry, the government regulator, and the citizen public interest group. Lewis & Clark's team has advanced to the national semifinals ten times, and the national finals six times, and the championship three times in the 12 years the school has been competing.
Lewis & Clark also participates in the National Environmental Negotiation Competition held at the University of Richmond in Virginia each spring.
