NRLI Distinguished Environmental Law Scholar
Lewis & Clark is pleased to announce the appointment of its 2007-08 Distinguished Environmental Law Scholar, Rachelle Adam. Adam will focus her research this academic year on drafting a biodiversity and ecosystem management law for Israel.
Adam brings twenty years of experience in environmental policy and law to the Law School. Among her many other international environmental accomplishments, she has served as a senior legal advisor and acting head legal advisor for the Environment Ministry in Israel, as legal advisor to the Technical Committee for the Agreement for the Protection of African Eurasian Waterbirds and as chair of the Committee for Institutional and Legal Review of Israel’s National Biodiversity Strategy Action Plan. She received her LL.B. from Hebrew University, whee she is a doctoral student. She also holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from Brandeis and a J.S.M. degree from Stanford.
