The Place
Lewis & Clark offers a wonderful setting in which to study environmental and natural resources law. The law school is adjacent to Tryon Creek State Park, an urban nature park where students and faculty hike, jog and bike on 14 miles of forested trails.
The Environmental and Natural Resources program, clinics, and law journals are housed in a state-of-the-art "green building," Wood Hall, which has been cited as a model for sustainable building principles. Take the virtual tour of the Law School campus and find out more about housing, transportation, and scheduling a visit at our Information for Visitors section.
Lewis and Clark's upper campus offers gym facilities, including swimming pools and indoor and outdoor tennis courts, as well as beautifully landscaped walks. Take the campus virtual tour. The law school's natural setting is complemented by the thriving urban community of Portland, Oregon, where students can see in action the intricate balancing acts involved in real-life environmental and natural resources law. In 2001, the Resource Renewal Institute named Oregon the most sustainable state in the nation. Portland is known worldwide for its livability and urban planning.
