Here at Lewis and Clark, she offers courses in early and nineteenth-century American literature, Melville, Dickinson, and Hawthorne. She’s currently working on two research projects: one on mid-nineteenth-century literary models of personhood and the other on satisfaction (both the sort we find in literature and the kind we find in life). Her articles have appeared in the Yale Journal of Criticism and Novel: A Forum on Fiction.
