Exploration and Discovery Faculty
The Lewis & Clark faculty has designed Exploration and Discovery to meet the goals and objectives it believes to be central to a strong core program: development of reading, writing, critical thinking, research, and speaking skills, and an introduction to college-level intellectual life in the enduring tradition of the liberal arts.
In a wide-ranging interdisciplinary core program like E&D, instructors cannot of course be "experts" on all of the topics and issues. As it should be, learning in E&D is a shared responsibility of students and teachers alike: a joint effort in the meaningful pursuit of evolving knowledge and understanding.
