- Bonneville Power Administration- The Bonneville Power Administration operates one of the most reliable transmission grids in the world.. Critical to the agency's mission is its commitment to involve the public in decisions, acquire cost-effective conservation and improve conditions for fish and wildlife in the Columbia River Basin. Their site includes many useful links, information and conservation information.
- Energy Trust- A public-purpose organization dedicated to energy efficiency and renewable energy generation. Helps Oregonians save energy, increase the comfort of their homes and business, and move toward energy self-reliance.
- Oregon Department of Energy- Purpose is to ensure Oregon has an adequate supply of reliable and affordable energy and is safe from nuclear contamination, by helping Oregonians save energy, develop clean energy resources, promote renewable energy and clean up nuclear waste.

- Netherlands Energy Research Foundation (ECN)- Leading institute for energy research in The Netherlands, conducts research under contract from the government and other entities. Research areas include solar energy, wind energy, biomass, clean fossil, energy efficiency, and policy studies.
- NICERT - Northern Ireland Center for Energy Research and Technology- Conducts contract research on energy-related topics: technical and economic aspects of power plants; clean coal technologies; biomass energy; refrigeration and heat pumps; energy efficiency. - Western Interstate Energy Board- An organization of 11 U.S. western states and three western Canadian provinces. Interests include coal mine reclamation, high-level radioactive waste, efficient electrical distribution.
Energy Organizations, Associations, Offices and Divisions
- American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy- U.S. nonprofit. Sponsors a large international conference every two years called the “Summer Study on Energy Efficiency in Buildings” and also another Summer Study on industrial energy efficiency. Publishes reports on technical and policy issues relating to energy efficiency.
- The Association for the Conservation of Energy- UK industry-supported organization that aims to encourage a positive national awareness of the need for and benefits of energy conversation. Site has several reports on these topics.
- Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Network (EREN)- The U.S. Department of Energy’s comprehensive resource for energy efficiency and renewable energy information.
- Energy Star- U.S. EPA Energy Star programs and products help save the environment and save consumers money by using less energy through advanced design or construction. Consumer products include most major appliances, lighting fixtures, office products, HVAC systems, and homes. Site is a good source of appliance energy ratings.
- Federal Energy Management Program- FEMP helps federal agencies reduce building energy costs, increase energy efficiency, use renewable energy, and conserve water.

- Iowa Energy Center- A source for energy efficiency and renewable energy research and information.
- Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance- The Alliance is a non-profit consortium transforming markets for energy-efficient products and services. Members include utilities, governments, public interest groups and the private sector in the Pacific Northwest US.
- South Carolina Energy Office- Develops, implements energy efficiency and conservation projects throughout the state; provides SC-specific energy data, information.
- Wisconsin Energy Conversation Corporation- WECC provides information on energy conservation and efficiency for utilities, consumers, environmental groups, and regulatory agencies.
- World Energy Efficiency Association- WEEA is composed of developed and developing country institutions and individuals charged with increasing energy efficiency. Assist developing and industrializing countries in accessing information on energy efficiency.
