SOUTH CAMPUS
2008-2009 CAPITAL PROJECTS
ADA Upgrades
In the summer of 2007, Facilities Services contracted with an architect to perform a complete ADA assessment of South Campus and all associated buildings. A report was completed with recommendations for ADA improvements by the statute's priority level rating system and by location. The project this summer will improve the number one priority which is site improvements for South Campus. The work will make improvements to parking and van spaces, vehicular crossings, detectable warnings, walkway slopes, grates and handrails. Disabled students, faculty, staff and visitors will be afforded access to all buildings on South Campus.
South Campus Chapel Roof
The age of the South Chapel roof is unknown. However, it was determined from its appearance, core samples and evidence of leaking that the flat roof is in need of replacement. The new roof system will upgrade from a R5 to R19 insulation. The existing roof, insulation and sheet metal will be removed and replaced with a fully warrantied Tremco roofing system.
