Endowed Scholarships
Lewis & Clark College recruits some of the brightest and most talented students from throughout the United States and around the globe.
The Lewis & Clark community is grateful to our generous donors who fund scholarships and make a difference in the lives of students. Without financial aid, many of these promising young men and women would be unable to take advantage of the College's excellent programs.
Today, nearly 78 percent of our undergraduate students receive financial aid. Each year, Lewis & Clark provides over $20 million in financial aid, but only $4 million of that total comes from endowed scholarships.
We must increase the strength of our endowed scholarship fund. A strong and robust endowment allows Lewis & Clark to recruit and retain the best students and to welcome a more diverse study body. Naming an Endowed Scholarship Fund
A named endowment fund may be established to provide financial support to a student or students pursuing liberal learning opportunities at Lewis & Clark. Endowment income covers partial tuition for an academic year. The minimum amount required to endow a scholarship is $50,000. Recipients of named endowed scholarships will be selected through the regular financial aid administrative procedures of Lewis & Clark College. To learn more about establishing an endowed scholarship please contact the Office of Major Gifts at (503) 768-7939 or (800) 753-9292, ext. 2.
