Degree Application
Students are required to complete and submit their degree application and program planning sheet to the graduate Office of the Registrar by the filing deadline listed in the academic calendar.
Commencement Ceremony
The Graduate School of Education and Counseling, Lewis & Clark College, holds one commencement ceremony yearly in early June. Degree candidates who are eligible to participate include degree candidates from the previous December, May degree candidates, and August degree candidates who have filed a degree application by the February 26th deadline date. In either case, degree candidates must file their completed degree application with the graduate Office of the Registrar by the published deadline.
Commencement Information for Current Students Advancement to Degree Candidacy
The following steps are taken to determine whether an admitted student's performance is satisfactory enough to allow the student to complete requirements for the degree.
1) Course grades are examined to determine whether the student is maintaining a 3.0 grade point average and whether the student has earned more than two grades below B-or any grade lower than C-.
2) The courses taken are compared to those listed on the student's formal program of study to ensure that the sutdent is progressing as planned.
3) Information relevant to each degree/licensure concentration is solicited from adviser(s), instructors, and other sources. Lewis & Clark College
