Graduate School Admissions Test Information
 



Testing Information

Lewis & Clark Graduate School programs require testing for admission, program completion, or prior to applying for a license or endorsement. Listed below are testing requirements and information for all of our programs.

Counseling Psychology

Applicants to the Counseling Psychology programs who do not already have a master's degree must submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE)) general test scores as an application requirement. Official scores must be less than ten years old and be submitted directly to the Admissions Office. Be advised that testing dates and sites may fill up prior to application deadlines and it may take up to four weeks before official test scores are made available to the Graduate School. Please plan accordlingly! The following programs require test scores prior to completing the program

School Counseling

School Counseling programs do not require test scores as part of the application process. However, students admitted to the program are required to submit passing scores on the PRAXIS I, WEST-B, or CBEST by the end of their first semester of attendance at Lewis & Clark Graduate School. Passing scores on the PRAXIS II: School Guidance and Counselor test are required to complete the program.

School Psychology

In addition to providing the GRE for admission, students admitted to School Psychology programs are required to submit passing scores on the PRAXIS I, WEST-B, or CBEST prior to completing their program. In addition, passing scores on the PRAXIS II: School Psychologist test are also required.

Educational Leadership

Applicants to Educational Leadership programs are not required to submit test scores as part of the application process. Students are required to submit passing scores on the PRAXIS II: Educational Leadership test in order to complete the Inital Administrator License program. (Out-of-state students may also be required to pass a basic skills test.)

Teacher Education: Preservice programs

Applicants to the Master of Arts in Teaching with Initial Teaching License are not required to submit test scores as part of the application process. However, students admitted to the program are required to submit passing test scores on the PRAXIS I, WEST-B, or CBEST; the ORELA:MSE test; and/or the specific PRAXIS II subject area test before completing their program.

Teacher Education: Inservice programs

Inservice programs do not require test scores as part of the application process. Students are required to submit passing test scores from the appropriate PRAXIS II subject area test(s) in order to complete their endorsement program(s).
