Employee Assistance Program

Employee Assistance ProgramAn employee assistance program (EAP) is a *free* confidential service paid by the College for our employees and their family who may be experiencing personal or work place problems. This program is available because everyone has problems from time to time. Usually, they can be worked out, but sometimes the problems persist, becoming serious enough to affect employees both off and on the job. At such times, an educated and professionally-trained counselor may be able to help.

There are three main reasons the College offers this program at no cost. First, employees are more likely to be alert, motivated and productive if day-to-day problems aren't a distraction. Second, it is good business to provide programs to retain employees because it is costly to hire and train new employees. Finally, the College cares about its employees and wants them to succeed.

Confidential Services:

Services provided by E.A.S.E. (Employee Assistance Services Enterprises) and their Self-Help website are confidential. Use is neither tracked electronically nor reported to Lewis & Clark except by group numbers. Confidentiality is a vital part of the program's success. Participation in the program will be treated confidentially in accordance with all state and federal laws. Employees may visit a counselor four times a year for free for each of the issues below:
