Smoking
Policy Statement: The College takes seriously its obligation to provide a safe, healthy environment for faculty, staff, students and guests. The College is guided by the Oregon Indoor Clean Air Act in efforts to provide an appropriate work and learning environment. Recognizing that smoke from tobacco products has direct adverse effects on the health of smokers and nonsmokers, and responding to growing concerns expressed by employees and students, smoking is not permitted:
- inside or within 25 feet of any College building,
- inside any College vehicle, and
- in other designated nonsmoking areas.
It is the responsibility of directors and supervisors to enforce this policy.
