College of Arts and Sciences Financial Aid Davis/UWC Grant

Davis United World College Scholars

Lewis & Clark is pleased to announce an enhanced commitment to the Davis United World College (UWC) Scholars program for the 2008-09 academic year.

The Davis United World College Scholars program, generously funded by the Shelby Davis family, entitles graduates of UWC to receive a need-based grant of up to $20,000* per year towards the costs of undergraduate study at Lewis & Clark.

UWC graduates with additional need may apply to Lewis & Clark for an international student financial aid grant. Typically, Lewis & Clark limits all grant and scholarship awards to the amount of tuition and fees. However, up to five UWC students per year with high need and superior academic credentials can now receive the full amount of their demonstrated need, up to $44,682 per year.

This enhanced Lewis & Clark international student grant can meet a UWC student's need up to the full costs of tuition, fees, insurance, room and board, books, transportation, and personal expenses. The enhanced grants are exclusively for first-year applicants (not transfer students) who obtain a projected score of 32 or higher on the IB mid-year exams and who complete the IB diploma before matriculating at Lewis & Clark.

Both the Davis United World College Scholars grant and all Lewis & Clark financial aid grants are multi-year awards (up to four years) and are renewable if the student maintains good academic standing.

*For 2008-09 the Davis United World College Scholars program will provide $20,000 grants if Lewis & Clark enrolls at least five new Davis United World College Scholars. Otherwise the grant will total $10,000, but Lewis & Clark College will increase its funding to meet the stated financial need.
