Professional Background
Professor Brunet specialized in business litigation in private practice in Chicago. He is coauthor of a book on summary judgment with Professor Martin Redish of Northwestern University School of Law. Brunet has also published articles on environmental alternative dispute resolution, antitrust law, and various topics in civil procedure. Brunet has completed the third edition of his book on alternatives to trial, co-authored with Ellen Deason of Ohio State and Charles Craver of George Washington University. He continues to publish on the subject of arbitration and on class action issues. Brunet's last few articles have been on class actions and employment arbitration topics and were first presented at conferences at University of Chicago, Georgetown, Lewis and Clark, and Tulane Law Schools. Brunet was a Visiting Professor of Law at Emory University School of Law in 2002. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar.
