Professional Background

Before attending law school, Ms. Finnerty began her career in the financial services industry at State Street Bank in Boston, MA. After graduating from the University of Oregon School of Law, Ms. Finnerty practiced law in the Corporate, Securities and Finance Group at Stoel Rives LLP, concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, securities reporting and compliance, financing transactions and general corporate law. Ms. Finnerty then joined TraderSource, Inc., a start-up company specializing in alternative investment strategies, as Vice President, Business Development. Ms. Finnerty currently serves as the Clinical Law Professor for the newly formed Small Business Legal Clinic. Ms. Finnerty is also an adjunct professor of business law at Portland State University, where she has taught Law for Managers for the past two years. Ms. Finnerty was recently awarded one of the Portland Business Journal's prestigious "Forty Under 40" Awards for her professional accomplishment, community involvement, and professional recognition.
