CONVENER

Father MikeFather Michael Maslowsky is the Director of Pastoral Services for the Archdiocese of Portland, President of Village Enterprises, Inc. and Services for All Generations, Inc., non-profit corporations that develop and manage housing and care facilities. He is the former parish priest at Portland’s St. Anthony Catholic Church. A graduate of Lewis & Clark Law School, Maslowsky worked as an attorney with Miller Nash before leaving the legal profession to become a Roman Catholic priest. Maslowsky hosts a weekly television commentary program and has been active in a variety of media.

PANELISTS

Gail Achterman worked in natural resource and environmental law before becoming the first full-time Director of the Institute for Natural Resources.

Stephen Griffith concentrates his legal practice on civil litigation, trusts and estates, and education law at Stoel Rives.

Susan Hammer worked in civil and business litigation and as a labor and employment lawyer at Stoel Rives before establishing her own mediation practice in 1998.

Sean Hartfield, a founding partner of Hartfield & Crutchley, focuses his practice on probate, civil rights, civil litigation, consumer law, and personal injury.

Bruce Samson, now retired, was a public utility attorney for Northwest Natural Gas and US West for more than 35 years.

Jeffrey Sapiro manages the regulatory services and discipline section of the Oregon State Bar.
