Course Description - Sutherland and Vail

A study of legal and attendant practical, social, legislative and economic problems involved in the organization, operation and dissolution of the family. Husband/wife (and other adult), parent/child and family/state relationships are considered critically in light of new developments in social structure, morals and technology. Assessment will be by examination


Course Description - Steverson

A study of legal and attendant practical, social, legislative and economic problems involved in the organization, operation and dissolution of the family. Husband/wife (and other adult), parent/child and family/state relationships are considered critically in light of new developments in social structure, morals and technology. Assessment will be by examination, paper, participation and an oral presentation.

Professor Steverson’s class is limited to 35 students. In addition, due to the nature of the student participation required, students planning to drop the class must do so by the end of the first (1st) week of class. Requests to drop after this time will not be allowed except for truly extenuating circumstances.
