Sports Law Seminar

Description:

This seminar will explore current issues relating to sports law. Matters considered will include: labor and antitrust issues in professional sports, drug testing, NCAA and Title 9 issues and the business of sports as it relates to athletes, agents, leagues and marketing. The course will combine discussions, mock negotiations and student presentations. Members of the seminar will make a presentation (with their paper co-author) to the class on a sports law subject of his or her choosing. Additionally, each member will be required to submit a co-authored paper in conjunction with the class presentation. The paper will satisfy the "B" paper requirement.
