First Amendment Seminar *

Limit: 15 Students

This seminar focuses on some of the most interesting aspects of the First Amendment, especially relating to freedom of expression. Each student researches and writes a paper on a First Amendment topic. Each student will make a presentation of work in progress on the paper during the last third of the semester. Reading materials for the first two-thirds of the semester will be assigned, and the class format will be seminar discussion of these materials and their implications. Students may elect to submit their papers in satisfaction of the A or B writing requirements.

Meets A or B writing requirement
