Hazardous Waste Law

Description:

As in past years, the primary focus of this course is on the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act ("CERCLA"). It includes consideration of CERCLA's liability scheme, its remedial approach ("how clean is clean?"), and its effect on other areas of law. Additionally, the course addresses the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act ("RCRA"), focusing on the regulatory requirements that apply to the generation, handling, and disposal of hazardous waste.
