Preliminary Statistical Information
While statistics do not tell the entire story about what you can expect regarding your job search during and after law school, we know many prospective students are very interested in knowing about our placement statistics. Listed below are the preliminary statistics pertaining to where our Class of 2007 graduates are working, by geographic area and the types of employment settings. Employment Settings (Preliminary)
Of the 223 graduates in the Class of 2007, 211 reported that they were actively seeking post-graduate work. Of the 223 seeking, 207 (92.9%) reported they had secured employment and 2 (.9%) graduates were enrolled in full-time degree programs.
Of the 207 graduates reporting employment information 88 (42.5%) were employed in private practice, 31 (15%) in government positions (including military), 14 (6.8%) in judicial clerkships, 45 (21.7%) in business, and 29 (14%) in public interest positions.

Geographic Information (Preliminary)
Over 69% of students attending Lewis & Clark come from outside of Oregon. For the Class of 2007, 67.3% of graduates reported employment in Oregon. Of the 207 employed graduates, 173 (83.6%) were employed in the Pacific region, 8 (3.9%) were in the Mountain region, 3 (1.4%) were in the West South Central region, 2 (1.4%) were in the East South Central region, 6 (2.9%) were in the East North Central region, 7 (3.4%) were in the South Atlantic region, 2 (1.0%) were in the Mid Atlantic region, and 1 (0.5%) was in the New England region, and there were 5 (2.4%) in Foreign regions.

Salary Information (Preliminary)
The Class of 2007 had 96 graduates report the following salary information: Median starting salary for all legal full-time positions that require bar exam was $55,000. The average salary of all reporting graduates was $65,007 - with the minimum salary reported at $29,500 and the maximum salary reported at $160,000.
