Math Dept Hike 2006
In September 2006, the faculty invited all students in a math or computer science class to join them for our 6th Annual Hike on the flanks of Mt. Hood followed by a BBQ and board games marathon at a professor's cabin.
Here's a group shot at Mirror Lake, with Mt. Hood in the background.
Professor Jens Mache, with his son Toby, are leading a group up the sunny trail.
Rebecca B., Amy S. and Heather R. enjoy sitting on the banks of Mirror Lake.
The three hungry dogs on our hike are fed by Professor Bob Owens and Kariyma C.
Many of the students hiked to a summit of 4900 ft. on Tom,Dick & Harry Mountain.
Parker L. and James R. practice their juggling high on the peak with Professor Yung-Pin Chen. Somehow high altitutes just make it easier to juggle!
Is hiking downhill easier, is it shorter? Are we heading towards the BBQ yet??
Mt. Hood is an impressive site from this close, but looks ready for some new snow this winter! More Hike and BBQ Pictures Here!!
