Web/New Media Guidelines
The Lewis & Clark website is a powerful tool for communicating with the institution’s key audiences. The new media team in the Office of Public Affairs and Communications maintains the front pages of the Lewis & Clark website and helps faculty and staff set up and manage sites using our content management system, Trillium.
We recommend that departments, both academic and administrative, use Trillium for managing as much of their Web content as is appropriate.
To yield the best results, focus on developing good content for your page rather than on flashy design. Trillium
There are significant benefits to using Trillium:
- It provides for a consistent look and feel across the institution.
- It automatically adds navigation, search, and "For more info..." links to every page.
- It's easy to learn.
- It allows you to manage your site without using much HTML or any complex Web publishing software.
- It makes transitions easier.
- It comes with full technical support from us.
Please visit the Trillium Users Group (TUG) homepage for resources including the QuickStart Guide, class list, and Frequently Asked Questions. Image Library
The Office of Public Affairs and Communications maintains a digital image library that we are able draw from to help illustrate Lewis & Clark webpages. Please contact the new media staff to discuss your needs.
