What can I order?
We have a suite of products from which to choose.
How much do products cost?
Pricing information for the full product line is available online.
Why are there two prices for the same product?
The lower price reflects the standard delivery price; the other reflects the cost of a one-week rush order. Rush orders, available at 25-50% premiums, respond to short-notice stationery needs and can usually be turned around in about a week. Please avoid rush orders whenever possible. Besides costing you more, rush orders take extra time in our office and hinder us from serving you and the institution in other ways.
How can I reduce my stationery costs?
Bulk ordering is the way to go. As quantities ordered go up, per piece prices go down. So, planning ahead and projecting your and your colleagues' needs beyond today leads to significant savings. Additionally, we've created a system of Fulfillment Site Leaders to reduce costs on some products.
What are Fulfillment Site Leaders? Who's mine?
At the institutional level and at the graduate and law schools, there's a designated staffer--a Fulfillment Site Leader--to help with certain product requests. FSLs provide consistency and oversight of orders, enhanced customer service, and reduced costs for planned orders.
The FSLs may order and maintain supplies of some uncustomized stationery products. These may include letterhead, second sheet letterhead, #10 envelopes, referral slips, and notepads, as well as other uncustomized products. Uncustomized products identify each school or Lewis & Clark as a whole, with no specific reference to departments, offices, or individuals.
Get to know your FSL:
Institutional: Meg Jeske (megjeske@lclark.edu or ext. 7970)
Grad: Lisa Pogue (pogue@lclark.edu or ext. 6016)
Law: Reggie Raiford (raiford@lclark.edu or ext. 6621)
I need notepads, but is there a way to make them less expensive? What about other products?
There is more than one option for ordering notepads. Uncustomized notepads, which may be available through your Fulfillment Site Leader, are the least expensive option, and the quickest if your FSL has them in stock. Custom notepads, which include your name and title, vary in price with the number ordered per month and may be very expensive at low quantities.
Bulk ordering will save money. You may want to collaborate with others to order notepads in the same month. When you place a notepad order, we'll let you know if we are able to print it with others or ask if you'd like us to hold the order until others come in. The pricing schedule will show you the cost variations. Your order confirmation will reflect the single order price, but we'll pass along any savings realized due to bulk ordering.
Notepad pricing examples:
If one person wants to order 10 personalized notepads it will cost $138 ($13.80 per pad).
If four people order 10 pads each it will cost $423 ($10.57 per pad).
If eight people order 10 pads each it will cost $635 ($7.94 per pad).
Or, you can contact your FSL and buy uncustomized notepads.
If an FSL orders 300 uncustomized notepads it will cost $865 ($2.88 per pad).
You'll also find that bulk ordering can lower the per piece price significantly for 5x7 panel cards with A7 envelopes and small folded invitations with A2 envelopes.
5x7 card with A7 envelope examples:
100 cards with envelopes will cost $416 ($4.16 per set)
500 cards with envelopes will cost $513 ($1.03 per set)
Small folded invitation with A2 envelope examples:
100 cards with envelopes will cost $308 ($3.08 per set)
500 cards with envelopes will cost $396 ($.79 per set)
How do I get mailing labels?
Please complete the online mailing labels request form. Unlike other stationery products, mailing labels will be produced in our office and delivered in about a week.
The items are designed to print in black only on Avery label stock you should purchase from OfficeMax or other another vendor.
Can I just call or fax in my order?
No. We've designed the online system to process orders more efficiently and to avoid mistakes. The online ordering system is very easy to use, and we'd be happy to help you learn. To arrange a training session, e-mail stny@lclark.edu.
How soon will my order be delivered?
Your standard order will be delivered on approximately the 20th of the month after you placed the order.
How often can I place orders?
You can place orders as often as you'd like, but standard-delivery orders are processed only on the first business day of the month. One-week rush orders are available at 25-50% premiums.
Is my office considered institutional or College of Arts and Sciences?
If your office serves the entire institution (CAS, the graduate school, and the law school), then choose the institutional version (Lewis & Clark). Examples of institutional departments include the Office of Campus Safety, Institutional Advancement, and the Office of the President.
My department name is not listed in the online system. What do I do?
When you place your order, type your department name into the space provided. We will flag and review any department information entered manually into the system. If you have questions, please contact stny@lclark.edu.
Will I see a proof of my order?
You will not see a final product proof. However, in the online system, you will have the opportunity to review the text you've entered before submitting the order. Please review your product data carefully.
Will I receive confirmation of my order?
Yes. After you submit your order, you'll receive an e-mail confirmation that includes the data and charges for each product ordered.
Help! After submitting my order, I realized that I made a mistake! What do I do?
If you made an error, let us know immediately so that we can correct it. This may delay processing and delivery of your order. Please note that you must contact us no later than the last working day of the month in which you submitted your order for corrections to be made. Contact us at stny@lclark.edu.
Can I order my own stationery items?
The person who normally orders stationery for you is authorized to access your department's budget account. We encourage you to contact your department coordinator or administrative secretary if you're unfamiliar with ordering procedures.
Can I use an ampersand (&) on my business card?
Following Lewis & Clark style, the ampersand is used only in "Lewis & Clark" and "Lewis & Clark Law School." It is not to be used in names of other schools (College of Arts and Sciences, Graduate School of Education and Counseling), departments (such as Public Affairs and Communications), or position titles.
