Pioneer Golf Classic raises $50,000 for the College

Under blue skies, a full course of 128 golfers and a group of eight corporate sponsors made the ninth annual Pioneer Invitational Golf Classic at the Oregon Golf Club in West Linn the most successful tournament to date. This year’s event netted more than $50,000 for Lewis & Clark College.

Teams from NetVersant-Cascades and Team Electric Co. shared the top honors of the tournament. Each team consisted of four players. The day’s events included contests, meals, photos and prizes.

The tournament’s title sponsors were DPR Construction, Hoffman Construction of Oregon, Merrill Lynch, The Regence Group, US Trust Co., Banc of America Securities, US Bank and Team Electric.

"Our business partners have come forward to support the College at an unprecedented level," notes Paul Moredock, associate vice president for development and alumni relations.

"Each sponsorship is important to the overall success of the tournament," says Jerry Gatto, director of athletics development and event chair.

If you are interested in playing in the 10th annual Pioneer Golf Classic, contact Gatto at (503) 768-7062 or by e-mail at gatto@lclark.edu.

Get one e-mail address for life

Are you tired of sending your new e-mail address to family and friends every time you change Internet service providers or get a new job? Lewis & Clark College now offers a simple solution—e-mail forwarding for life.

Here’s how it works. The College has reserved an e-mail address for you that is completely unique and that will never change. It incorporates your last name and the last two digits of the year you graduated from Lewis & Clark. For example, the address for Mike Teskey, ’85 is teskey85@alumni.lclark.edu. As long as the College has your current primary e-mail address in its system, it will forward all messages sent to your lifetime e-mail address.

You may have already received your lifetime e-mail address from the College. If not, write to alumni@lclark.edu and ask for it. Include your full name, the year you graduated from Lewis & Clark and your current primary e-mail address.

This is a free service to all undergraduate alumni of Lewis & Clark.
