Lisbeth Schorr, renowned author, advocate and social analyst, urged graduates of Lewis & Clark College Graduate School of Education "to build a world in which all children can grow into adulthood with a realistic stake in the American dream.

"As exquisitely trained professionals, you know what works," she told graduates at commencement on June 3.

Bill Brelje: A community icon

Wendy Bond ’77, M.A.T. ’79 can’t remember a time in her career when Bill Brelje wasn’t there for her.

He was there to interview her when she applied to the graduate school. He was her teacher and her counselor. He helped her find a student-teaching position, and he beamed with pride when she landed her first job.

Graduate school partners with Tucker-Maxon

Lewis & Clark’s Graduate School of Education has partnered with Tucker-Maxon Oral School in Portland to offer a new auditory/oral education track.

The new track prepares educators to teach elementary- and secondary-age school children to listen, to read lips and to speak without using sign language.
