Watzek is the best place to get your work done. We have comfy couches, a reading room with a fireplace, group study rooms, huge windows and serene views. It�s the ideal place to work, in seclusion or with groups. The Library is open 24 hours a day during the Spring and Fall semesters.
Watzek's friendly librarians know academic research inside and out and are eager to help you. Our primary goal is to ensure that you get the information and the research skills you need to succeed.
Watzek uses cutting edge technology to get you the information you need fast. The library provides access to more than 100 research databases, online full text for hundreds of journals, and electronic course reserves. You can request items from Summit, a shared catalog of more than 30 academic libraries in the Pacific Northwest and they arrive at L&C in 2 working days.

The largest law library in Oregon, Boley Law Library is the only law school library in the nation designated as a federal patent and trademark depository. The law library has a complete collection of basic Anglo-American law materials and is a significant research facility. The materials in the library include: federal, regional and select state reports, digests, federal and state statutes and codes, Shepard's citators, loose leaf services, legal encyclopedias, U.S. and foreign law reviews, and treatises on law-related subjects. The Lewis & Clark College Archives has a large collection of records relating to the college's history including approximately 3,000 cubic feet of school records dating from 1867 to present. The special collections include the most complete collection of printed materials on the Lewis & Clark Expedition ever assembled, a wide body of writings by the poet William Stafford, and other materials. www.lclark.edu/~archives
The Visual Resources Collection is a teaching resource of Watzek Library. The collection of over 50,000 slides (35mm) and several thousand digital images represents artwork from a wide range of media, time periods, world regions and cultures. The collection exists to support instruction in the Art Department as well as historical and cultural studies campus-wide. Use of the collection is limited to members of the Lewis & Clark College community.
