Read the section on requirements in the Lewis & Clark College Catalog. Note especially the General Education requirements.

Read Choosing Courses.
|
|
Read Majors to Start the First Semester in College.
|
|
Read again the Scientific and Quantitative Reasoning section, including the footnote that explains the criteria for registering for many of the Category A, B, and C courses, in the requirements section of the College Catalog.

Create a preliminary list of 5 or 6 courses (or more) that interest you by going to the Course Schedule link in the blue bar on the left hand side of the page. Be sure to note any prerequisites and days and times the courses meet. This list will provide you with alternates to choose from when (along with Core 106)you register for your first course early this summer and two more at the end of August.

Read about and take the Quantitative Reasoning Proficiency Exam online if needed.

Read about and sign up for the appropriate Foreign Language Examinations.
|
|
Read about the Music Theory and Aural Skills Placement Exam.
|
|
Check Courses that Generally Fill Quickly.
|
|
Decide on your preferred sections of Exploration and Discovery and note days and times those sections meet.
|
|
Rank courses on your list in order of interest. Include days and times to avoid conflict. Be sure you have met any prerequisites. Note: Along with Core 106, these courses should represent the ones you are interested in taking fall semester.

Read Search for Sections Helpful Hints.

Read Online Registration Instructions. Then add your list of courses to the Preferred Section list via the "Search and Register" option or "Express Registration" option in WebAdvisor before your registration appointment.

May 15-June 13 - Complete and submit the Academic Advising Questionnaire.
|
|
May 28-29 - Priority Registration: Refine your list of preferred courses so that you have a backup if your first choice isn't available.
|
|
Register at your appointment time via "Register and Drop" in WebAdvisor.
|
|
Waitlist your first choice class if the section is currently filled.
|
|
Then register for your second choice class.
|
|
June 6-8 - Submit preferences for Exploration and Discovery.
|
|
Online registration continues through Sunday, June 15. You also may change the waitlisted class and/or the first class you registered for through Sunday, June 15.
|
|
After June 15th, contact the Registrar's Office to register for your first class.
|
|
August 29: bring the list of courses you plan to register for to your meeting with your faculty advisor. |
