The Office of Student Leadership & Service provides the campus with a wide variety of experiences to assist students in their exploration and refinement of leadership abilities and prepares them to become active participants in the community. Through community outreach we seek to encourage collaboration, trust, foresight and the ethical use of power and empowerment.

Student Leadership & Service has three focus areas, community service, student leadership, and academic civic engagement. Community service provides students with hands-on experience in a wide variety of nonprofit sectors. Leadership programs aim to encourage individual growth and promote collaboration for social change. The civic engagement initiative works to forge connections between the academic curriculum and the Portland community. Through civic engagement projects, students develop an ethic of civic responsibility, while also applying their learning to real-world issues.

Our office is eager to work together with students to find meaningful opportunities that complement the academic curriculum. For further information about any of our programs call or visit the Student Leadership & Service office located on the lowest level of Templeton, 503-768-7076.
