Costs for 2008-2009
The annual tuition charge covers approximately three-fourths of the cost of providing a student with a year's education at Lewis & Clark College. Income from endowment and gifts from trustees, alumni, and friends of the College meet the balance of the costs.

All full-time students are required to have medical insurance coverage. Unless specifically waived, showing proof of comparable coverage with another plan, students will be enrolled in a comprehensive medical insurance plan designed specifically for them and charged accordingly. Students opting for another coverage must complete a waiver form annually showing proof of comparable insurance.
Personal expenses, books, and supplies (per semester): approximately $1020. Transportation varies depending on home residence. Cost information specific to international undergraduate students can be found on the International Student Services Office Web site. Your College fees will be divided into two separate payments. Prior to each semester, the Cashier and Credit Office will send you a bill for that semester. One-half of your aid, excluding work-study and private scholarships, will be credited to your account in the Cashier and Credit Office for each semester.
You and your family may elect to participate in an installment payment plan with the College through Tuition Management Systems (TMS). Please contact the Cashier and Credit Office for details.
