Teacher Education Scholarships
In order to be considered for Lewis & Clark College Graduate School Scholarships, it is important to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1 as possible. You can submit the FAFSA online at http://www.fafsa. ed.gov. The Lewis & Clark College school code is 003197.
All students who apply for admission and file a FAFSA will be considered for the maximum loans and scholarships available. Timely completion of the program application is strongly recommended. Mary Stuart Rogers Scholarship
Scholarships of $3000 are awarded to five to seven Pre-Service MAT students accepted into the Pre-Service Intern Program. Selected students demonstrate not only outstanding academic achievements but also qualities of leadership edication, integrity, compassion, sensitivity and self-discipline. Scholarships of $6000 are awarded to three Pre-Service MAT students accepted into the intern program. These scholarships address the critical need for increasing ethnic diversity and a strong committment to serving diverse student populations within the northwest. Individuals who are from ethnic minority backgrounds and/or have demonstrated significant committment to serving diverse student populations are eligible. Partnership for Diversity Scholarships
Lewis & Clark College/Catlin Gabel School
Two $8000 scholarships will be awarded to MAT students accepted into the EC/EL intern program and in the SMT Cohort. There is a collaborative selection process between Lewis & Clark and Catlin Gabel faculty. Individuals who are members of a currently or historically under-represented racial or ethnic group, or individuals who have demonstrated significant commitment to serving racially or ethnically diverse student populations are eligible and are invited to apply. Additional scholarships of varied amounts will be available through the Graduate School. Priority will be given to candidates with demonstrated financial need and who are preparing to teach in areas of high need: e.g., mathematics, science, working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. The Carol D. Dimich Memorial Scholarship
Established in 1994 this $2000 scholarship is awarded each year to a nontraditional student in the MAT pre-service program. Application information for this scholarhsip is distributed to all students during the fall semester.
