Professional Background

Professor Holton is an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. He has served as lead prosecutor for more than 200 cases involving crimes including murder, terrorism, racketeering, obstruction of justice, drug trafficking, Clean Water Act violations, and credit card fraud. He also briefed and argued cases in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He was a law clerk for United States District Judge John Gleeson, a summer associate for the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights under Law, and special assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff to President Clinton.
