Professional Background
As the director of Government Affairs at the Humane Society of the United States, Ms. Perry oversees federal and state legislative campaigns, litigation, regulatory affairs, and grassroots activities. Previously, as the grassroots coordinator, she spearheaded state animal protection ballot initiatives and coordinated litigation strategies. She is a board member of the National Center for Animal Law, the co-founder of Lewis & Clark's Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and has published several articles on animal law. Ms. Perry teaches Animal Law at George Washington University School of Law.
