Small Business Legal Clinic
Session I: May 27 - June 26, times to be announced
Participate in the Law School's downtown-based business transactions clinic. Working under the guidance of an experienced Clinical Law Professor, law students represent small and emerging businesses in transactional (not litigation) matters. Examples of some of the issues the SBLC helps businesses with include advice regarding choice of entity, entity creation by drafting articles of incorporation and organization, bylaws, partnership agreements, contract review and drafting (real estate & leases, noncompetition and employment contracts), advice and assistance concerning debt problems such as obtaining, reviewing and correcting credit reports, review of lending contracts and advice about loans, management education, advice concerning compliance with consumer, licensing, and regulatory rules; and copyright and trademark creation.
The SBLC is located at 422 NW Everett Street, at the corner of NW 5th and NW Everett Streets in Portland.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 3:30pm
