French Play, “The Imaginary Invalid—Le Malade Imaginaire”

Each year, students in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures perform a French language play. This year’s performance, “Le Malade Imaginaire,” is an adaptation of Molière’s original play.

About the play:

Argan is a hypocondriac who lives by his doctor’s instructions. He decides to give his eldest daughter, Angelique, away in marriage to a young doctor descended from a family of doctors in order to acquire unlimited access to free consultation. But the inventive Toinette and Argan’s brother, Beralde, try to change his mind…
