Friends of Rain: “New Music on Fire!”

Friends of Rain, Lewis & Clark’s Faculty Contemporary Music Ensemble, kicks off the 2009-2010 season with an energetic concert of chamber works. The program features six “fiery” works that embody drama and intensity: Michael Daugherty’s “Firecracker,” Leanna Kirchoff’s “As Sparks Fly Upward,” Ryo Noda’s “Improvisation,” Sydney Hodkinson’s “Kerberos,” Fyodor Druzhinin’s  “Viola Sonata,” and Chris Rogerson’s “Four Autumn Landscapes for Clarinet and Piano.”

When: November 13, 7 p.m.

Where: Evans Music Auditorium

Cost: Admission is free.  A suggested donation of $10 will be taken at the door.
