Spring Symposium: Who Is The Reasonable Person?
April 9–10, 2010
The Lewis & Clark Law Review’s 2010 Spring Symposium will address the topic Who is the Reasonable Person?
A number of courts and commentators have analyzed whether the “reasonable person” concept should accommodate differences in basic immutable characteristics such as race, gender, age, sexual orientation, and physical and mental ability.
The symposium will explore whether the issue is or should be approached differently when it arises in diverse areas of law such as criminal law, criminal procedure, torts, commercial law, and intellectual property.
