Arlington Central School District v. Murphy

A Recent Case

In Howell v. Willamette Urology, P.C. (Feb. 14, 2008), the Oregon Supreme Court interpreted the Oregon venue statute in the context of a wrongful death action. The injury that allegedly caused the death happened in Marion County, and the decedent died in Multnomah County. The case exemplifies the elegant use of related statutory text to interpret disputed statutory text. A pdf of copy of the opinion is linked below.
