Tom Schoeneman received his Ph. D. in clinical psychology in 1979 from the State University of New York at Buffalo. His research interest is in the social construction of mental disorder, including media portrayals of the mentally ill. His regularly offered courses here at L&C include Abnormal Psychology, Personality Theory, Psychology Internship, Social Construction of Madness, and Inventing America. For the past 10 years he has pursued his interest in cinema through summer session offerings of film courses (Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Australian Film, Social Construction of Madness).
