NWI Telling Lives
Date: Saturday-Sunday, November 13-14, 2010Time: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Location: Lewis & Clark, TBAhttp://www.lclark.edu/live/news/5006-nwi-telling-lives
The Northwest Writing Institute gathers a community of writers for reflective experiences in the practice of writing. As part of the Lewis & Clark Graduate School, the Institute offers courses for teachers and adult writers on campus and in the community. What part does writing play in your life? What part would you like it to play? What does the world need that only your stories, your poems, your voice and vision could provide?
The NWI is a place to explore these questions in good company. We are a community of teachers, writers, counselors, and other citizens intent on helping each other write the story of our calling, the resume of our delicious failures, whisper the secrets we are ready to tell, jot the manifesto, proclaim and sing what we don’t know to say until we sit down together to write.
There was a time when art was but a decoration, when music in the background was the rule. This is a time to bring the power of creation to the foreground - in your life, and in our world.
Please join us for the class, symposium, retreat or experimental gathering for writing we have listed here. We can’t tell the whole story for our time without your voice.
Please join our email list to receive information on upcoming courses, workshops, events and the current e-newsletter. You can also connect with us via Facebook.
