Personal Statement

"Coming to Lewis & Clark has been a complete journey in education for me. After 41 years as a public school teacher and administrator, I understand the value of abundant learning opportunities for educators that challenge current practices and orient educators to instructional methods that are research-based and replicable. As a university teacher, I value active listening, meaningful dialogue and classes that stimulate thinking and challenge beliefs. Working at Lewis & Clark allows me an opportunity to teach, to advise, and to develop courses that prepare administrators to become outstanding leaders in their schools, agencies, and districts. It is an honor and privilege to work to work in such a stimulating environment."
